131219 2NE1’s Missing You covered on Arirang’s Pops in Seoul Ep 2541
131129 2NE1’s Missing You @ #1 on Arirang’s ‘K-pop Top Ten’
Those are three very mellow and almost melancholy songs, judging by the music videos that we just saw.
That’s true. Both Noel and 2AM are known for their ballads, which makes this season a perfect time for them to release new albums.
And even the two lead singles from Hyorin’s new album have a mellow feel.
Well, it will definitely be interesting to see if they can make it on to the K-pop Top Ten next week, but speaking of that, you have the hottest K-pop songs of this week for us next, right?
That’s right Our weekly K-pop news wouldn’t be complete without the weekly K-pop Top Ten, so let’s get started
Kicking off this week’s K-pop Top Ten is YG Entertainment’s multi-tainer, actor and singer T.O.P. with his latest hit “Doom Dada” moving down one spot from last week to come in at number ten
Shhhhhh Can you hear that? That’s right Miss A’s hot new single “Hush” moves down four slots and is our number nine song of the week
And from the soundtrack of the wildly popular hit drama “Reply 1994” is singer Hi-ni’s single “Can’t Have You,” a remake of singer Bank’s hit, which was released in 1995, coming in at number eight this week
Lucky number seven this week is the band Rose Motel with their latest single “Marrying Man, Marrying Woman
And the hot new track “Break Up Dinner” by the rapper San E comes in at number six this week
Already half-way through this week’s rankings Let’s go ahead and take a look at the top half Go Go Go
Number five this week is “Just Stay” from 2AM’s latest mini-album, “Nocturne,” which was just released yesterday
And down four spots from last week is pop duo Davichi with their latest song “The Letter” at number four
And kicking off our top three songs of the week is “Goodbye 20,” which of course features the trademark husky voice of singer Lim Kim
The runner-up this week at number two is musician Lee Juck with his hit “Lie Lie Lie,” which is actually up four spots from last week
Will he be a contender for next week’s number one? We’ll have to wait and find out
But this week, the champion of the charts is the girl group 2NE1 with their latest hit “Missing You,” a perfectly mellow song to go with the falling snow. It’s the hit that 2NE1 fans around the world have been waiting for.
And with that wraps up our K-pop Top Ten for this week. Tune in again next week to see if your favorite artist made the cut
The ever exciting K-pop Top Ten. It looks like there were a lot of new song that made the chart this week?
Yes indeed and what’s interesting is that, with the exception of just a few of the songs, most of the singles on the list have to do with love, relationships or breaking up.
Perhaps it’s the cold weather?
Well, it just may be. A lot of artists cater to lovelorn listeners during the colder, winter season with ballads and songs about love.
It does seem that everywhere you go during this season, the songs are a bit more mellow. Well, thank you for the update, Tae Ho, and we’ll see you again tomorrow.
Alright, stay warm and have a wonderful afternoon.
